Welcome Back Wildcats!

The first week of school consisted of many mixed emotions. With many of them being anxious, nervous, but over all excited on what this year will bring. For the seniors, they are weary on what their last year of high school will offer them. Was this first week a foreshadowing of their future procrastination on their assignments or will it be a memorable year for the graduating class of 2017? That first week was a stepping stone to what awaits us this school year and we are all still hopeful for the latter.

Throughout the WHOLE summer we had the summer reading project in the back of our minds. So it should have come to no surprise that there was a summer reading project/test on that first Friday. For those model Eastern Guilford High Wildcat students that actually read their book, but for the majority that did not read, it was a stressful week back fro a worry free vacation.

Another bombshell that was thrown our way was the new regulation of the dress code. For those of ou that might not be aware, no one is allowed to wear tank tops. In the beginning, I admit, makes sense...Until you get dress coded for wearing your favorite three-finger strap shirt, that shows your shoulders, that you wore last year, and find out it is no longer school appropriate.

I must admit that I was quite pleased when I heard that we were going to have incentives this year. This is a fresh outlook and it is very different from the type of environment that we had the previous years of our high school career.

XOXO,

Wildcat Nip
