Our Wildcats keep winning
Our wildcats of Eastern Guilford are still undefeated. I traveled with our team to Western Alamance where we battled the warriors. This game was very nerve wrecking, there were times when I didn’t know who was going to win. In the first quarter Western scored first putting them up by 6 the extra point was missed. Then our wildcats of Eastern Guilford snapped back with 6 points the extra point being good. If that wasn’t enough we kick the ball off to Western and they return it inside of our 20yrd line. By the end of the first quarter the score is 7-6 with our wildcats on top.
With 11 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter Western Alamance’s #10 Jake Chrisman completes a pass to #3 Darius Pinnix for a touchdown putting western up the score is now 7-13 the extra point was good. Then we answer back with a long run putting us inside the opponent’s territory at westerns 20yrd line. In to score with a 5yrd rushing touchdown #1 quarterback Dominque Graves. The score is now 13-13 with extra point being good. With 2 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter Eastern intercepts a pass, therefore giving us possession of the ball. With under a minute to go #26 Collin Smith kicks a 25 yard Field goal increasing that wildcat lead the score is now 17-13.
With the start of the 3rd quarter we receive possession of the ball. With 7 minutes in the 3rd quarter eastern punts the ball off to western. 6 minutes left in the third quarter and Western Alamance turns the ball over by way of an interception. Eastern has possession of the ball and advances into westerns 20 yrd line. Again Dominque Graves runs into the end zone increasing the wildcat lead. The score is now 23-13 with the extra point being good. With 1
minute left in the 3rd quarter Western Alamance quickly responds with a touchdown of their own. The score is now 24-19 with westerns two point conversion attempt no good. Your score for the end of the 3rd quarter is 24-19.
With 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter #5 Bryant Barr completes a 15yrd touchdown pass to #6 James Artis. The score is now 30-19 with the extra point being good. Almost in conclusion of the game Eastern Guilford intercepts yet another pass by Western Alamance. With 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter Eastern Punts the balls of to western. With only a minute left western scores a touchdown. The score is now 31-25 with western’s extra point being good. Under a minute now eastern intercepts another warrior pass. In conclusion of the game your wildcats win with the final score being 31-26. If you see a football player in the hallways be sure to congratulate them on being (9-0) undefeated!!!!
