National Weather Service Warns flooded Californians to pack a bag
Sacramento, CA- As of Tuesday, Northern California remains under a flood. The residents in the area we warned to pack up and go. More than 14 million people are under a flood warning until Tuesday. Including surrounding area such as Oroville Dam. Before Valentines Day, there has been a mass evacuation from the local area.
Sacramento has received 26 inches of rain since October, 1st. Sacramento doesn’t receive this many rain on a regular basis. This is double what the city gets daily. Overall Sacramento has received 24.38 inches of rain. Cars are beginning to sink and evacuating is becoming a little more challenging. Many people are having difficulties escaping through traffic.
Thousands of residents have been out of electricity in the towns of Prunedale and Salinas. Because of the lost of electricity this have caused many schools to close early. More than 500 people were forced to evacuate in San Joaquin. The Anderson Dam wasn’t built to withstand an earth quake which can cause it to fall.
When in a situation like this, it’s good to pack necessary needs to survive. Such as, water, a cellular device, first aid tools, flashlights, a couple of changing clothes, candles and other needs.
