Friday Night Lights

Fridays for some means the weekend is upon them. No school for a few days. Some fun with some friends over the weekend, But for others, Friday nights are dedicated to supporting our football players, cheerleaders, band members and dance team! See how these wildcats show their support and what excites them most about our amazing Friday Night Lights…

I went around and asked a variety of students such as football players and their girlfriends, cheerleaders, dancers, and fans if they were ready for Friday Night Lights and why, here are a few responses

Tyray Vanscoy, a player on the team, said: “I tore my ACL and would love to play but I cant but I will be, out there to support my team as we beat page and make our way to the state championship”

Joi Artis, one of our beloved cheerleaders, responded: “YES! I love cheering my team on!”

Mingon Smith, girlfriend to our star quarterback Dom G, stated: “Yes! I’m very excited to see my boyfriend play!”

Savionne Watt, #21 one of our core defensive player, responded: “Yes! I live for this!”

Greg Stewart, Assistant principal at EGHS, said: “Yes, I am, Football, I like football”

Victoria Hamilton, a freshman here, answered: “Never been to one since it’s my first year here so it should be exciting.”

As you can tell, everyone here is excited and happy for Friday Night Lights. Football games are a huge part of our history and we’re getting ready for our wildcat crazies, we’re overall ready to cheer our boys on!
