High School Relationships... Worth It?
Love Gone Wrong:
Is it really necessary to date in high school? Cupid went wrong: students thinking their in love, getting pregnant, dropping out, and getting engage but really do these young people actually know what love is?
Love or Nah?
We went around asking Eastern Guilford students what they think about relationships in high school.
“I don’t really know what a relationship means.” Said senior.
“I think it’s useless because, it distracts from everything else.” Said Junior
Our upper class men’s think relationship is worthless and they want to get down to business and the really world that their about to face. Compared to lower classes men’s who thinks relationships are great!
“A relationship is when two people love each other.” Said sophomore.
“I want to be apart of something special.” Said freshmen.
Is high school dating base off of maturity? Let’s get some insiders on how teachers and parents find high school dating. Love or not?
“Students should be able to focus on school not dating.” Said a teacher from Eastern Guilford.
“I have a 15 year old who says she is dating but, really she is too young to know what is dating and or love. She needs to focus on what’s important like education or what she is doing after school. She needs to focus on the needs not the wants.” Said a parent of an Eastern Guilford student.
Time Running Out:
Children should be children not rushing into relationships when they don’t understand what is a proper relationship is. Proper relationship is define as “one's strong romantic love, or one's deep and strong emotional desires to connect with another person intimately or romantically.”
