A Sense Of Pride In The Pep Rally Drum line
What’s up Wildcats? Our homecoming pep rally is right around the corner. I had the opportunity to sit down with the first bass drum player for the EGHS band. Her name is Cameron Sams and she is a Junior. We spoke about pep rallies and her personal experience with the band.

Paw Print: How long have you been in band?
Sams: Just about 5 years
How do you feel about being in the Eastern Guilford High School drum line?
I really enjoy being on the drum line because it gives me the time to get away and it also is something I love.
Do you only play bass drum? If not what other instrument do you play?
I mainly play bass drum, yes. I also have the capability to to play other instruments such as the snare drum, quads, and auxiliary.
How do you personally feel about the pep rallies?
I feel that the pep rallies are fun but could use a little more excitement and involvement from the students and also the ones participating in the pep rallies.
How do you feel, as a band member, the band does during the pep rallies?
I feel like there is always room for improvement but we do a fairly good job overall.
How do you feel about the sound quality of the band at the pep rallies?
I feel like we could play better together as a group and play softer at some points instead of as loud as we can.
Who is excited for the pep rally?! Its always good to support your school in some way so get out there and make some nosie! This is the Eastern Guilford Wildcat band way!
