What to expect at your first pep rally
Hey Wildcats! It’s that time of year again. IT’S HOMECOMING TIME!
Are you ready to show off your school spirit? Well now you can.
Friday, September 28th, look forward to our annual homecoming pep rally. The pep rallies are held in the main gym (same as basketball games) during 4th block.
If you are a freshman or just new to Eastern, here are some things to expect during your first Eastern Guilford High School pep rally:
1. Each class has its own side of the gym and you sit within your class.
2. Every year all 4 classes compete against each other to see who has the most school spirit (how loud can you really get?)!
3. There are various fun games played throughout the pep rally and teachers and coaches play too! The winner is determined by who wins the most competitions.
4. A pep rally wouldn’t be the same without the Marching Wildcats of course. Alongside the cheerleaders and dancers, the band is there to help get us hype and in the mood to show off your spirit.
5. You can’t forget about our fall athletes! We cheer on all of the fall sports teams as they enter the gym but expect some extra noise for the football team and get ready to hear a pep talk from a designated senior hype man.
Be there to join us as we cheer for our football players on their road to victory. And don't forget you can earn those bragging rights for your class in the chance to win a spirit stick representing, well, the most spirit!
