Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club

The Salvation Army (Greensboro) Boys & Girls Club is celebrating the Kidsmas Miracle with The Jaycees on December 8, 2018.

The Salvation Army is the second largest charity in the United Sates. Continuing today to adapt to the needs of the communities to ‘Do the Most Good’. In Greensboro, The Salvation Army has supported the community for many years, providing such services as Programs that nurture, The Boys and Girls Club, Center of Hope, and Disaster Relief Services. On Saturday December 8th, The Jaycees took 30 children, selected by the Boys & Girls club based on level of need, shopping for gifts and necessities for themselves and their families. The children had the opportunity to eat breakfast, shop and then have their pictures taken with Santa.

The Event took place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 8:30 am and last until 11:30 am at the New Garden Target on Highwoods Blvd. After the children had their pictures taken with Santa and gone home, helpers that are with the Salvation Army will be gift wrapping their presents, so that “Santa” can deliver them on Christmas Day. Volunteers can sign up to shop with the children, assist the children in meeting Santa, help with the overall operations of the day-of event, and/or gift wrap. As a result, it would help a lot if people in the Greensboro triad could help out this winter to not only donate but support and help out by volunteering with wrapping gifts and putting smiles on kids that are less fortunate for the holidays.
