Why did you start teaching art?
I always loved art since I was a young child and I was encouraged by my family and friends. And art really allow me to express myself.
How old where you when you knew you had an interest in art?
Probably 3rd grade when I was in art class my teacher was very creative.
Who is your favorite artist?
That’s tough to choose so as far as modern current day the artist I admire is Chuck Close.
What’s your favorite part about teaching art?
Being able to work with students and their techniques.
In your own words what’s your definition of art?
The ability to be creative and the courage to embrace yourself.
Do you believe in the quote “that every artist dips her brush in her own nature into her pictures”?
Yes, because its an expression of peoples emotions and beautiful thoughts.
